Adult ADHD Assessment in Surbiton & Online

1

Free Consultation
(15-20 min)

You'll book a quick 15-20 minute video call through my website. We'll have an open, friendly chat about what has led you to consider seeking an ADHD assessment and discuss whether an assessment  with Kinirons Therapy is the right fit for you.

2

Pre-Assessment Information Gathering

You will be sent secure online links to complete intake forms and some questionnaires about your life story, current challenges, and basic health questions.
Whenever possible information should also be gathered from one or more people who knew you as a child and an adult.
So I'll also ask you to provide the name and email of a family member or friend to complete a short questionnaire about their experience of you. Ideally with your consent I will also arrange a brief (30 minute) conversation with them to gather more information.

3

Main Assessment Session
(2 hours)

We'll meet for a 2-hour appointment (video call or in-person in Surbiton). This time also allows for a break if needed.
I understand assessments can feel daunting, but this will hopefully feel like a supportive safe space which offers you the opportunity to share your experiences at your own pace.

During this 2‑hour appointment, I’ll guide you through DIVA‑5, a structured ADHD interview based on DSM‑5 criteria, alongside simple questionnaires delivered via NovoPsych to build a clear picture of your attention, impulsivity and day‑to‑day functioning.

4

Draft Report Review

Within 7 days, you'll receive your draft report securely. This gives you an opportunity to review the report and make sure you understand each section before we meet to discuss it.

It is important to note that my clinical decision will not change but if there are any factual errors such as names or dates these can be amended at this time.

5

Feedback Session
(60 min)

We'll meet to discuss the final report together. We'll explore what the outcome means for you, address any concerns, and plan practical next steps like referrals. This will help me to make sure that the resources you receive are tailored to your needs.

6

Next Steps

You’ll receive psychoeducational resources and practical strategies to support you following your assessment, with the option of a GP letter or psychiatrist referral if you’d find these helpful. I can recommend a trusted psychiatrist I work with or you’re also welcome to take your report to a psychiatrist of your choice.

Transparent Fees

How This Process Supports You

Each step in the ADHD assessment process is carefully designed to offer you clarity, structure, and genuine support.

The free initial consultation lets us both see if an ADHD assessment with me feels like the right next step, with absolutely no obligation to book.

The pre‑assessment information gathering stage provides essential background details so our session can focus entirely on understanding you. It also ensures your report aligns with NICE guidelines and UK best‑practice standards, using standardised questionnaires that can be shared clearly with GPs or psychiatrists. Where possible, best practice includes an interview with a friend or family member who knows you well; if you’re comfortable, we’ll include this, though it is entirely up to you.

The main assessment session then builds a complete picture of your experiences, both now and since childhood, through gentle, structured questions and simple questionnaires. It is important to remember there are no right or wrong answers, this will be an opportunity for me to better understand your unique experience.

You’ll have a chance to review a draft report to check factual accuracy before it’s finalised, keeping everything transparent and professionally sound.  The feedback session gives you space to process the findings, ask questions, and discuss meaningful next steps together.

By the end, you’ll leave empowered with tailored psychoeducational resources, practical strategies, and onward recommendations to help you move forward confidently, whether that includes exploring medication or other forms of support.
